Going to the Zoo - Wed 27th

It is still very windy, but dry. After breakfast and adjustments to the tent, we headed in land in the hope of getting away from the worst of the wind – the sea was wild!! We headed for Aalborg Zoo. It was an hours drive, but one of the closest attractions off our list of possibilities. We arrived at 11am. Cameron loves the zoo, and although many of the enclosures are much smaller than we are used to in the UK, but all of the animals were in tip-top condition. Our favourites were the Giraffes, Sea Lions and of course, the Polar Bears.
Once again, take food with you, or prepare for it to be expensive – 2 coffees and a bottle of water cost £10. We headed back to the tent and after tea, we went to the indoor play area and TV room – it was raining heavy by then. I watched the Champions League Final (as best I could as it was on a channel that the campsite did not subscribe to)
